Today, the most important person in my life turns 20 years old.
Let’s start from the beginning… I met her almost 7 years ago, she was in my classroom and I looked at her and thought “that girl reminds me of me”. We get along really well since the first day we talked. We shared some common interests, specially Internet (that was something new at that stage; we were the only ones in our classroom who had Internet at home). We talked hours, and hours, and hours… about every kind of thing.
HOLIDAYS. Yes, I thought this would “separate” us… just like it happened with all our friends. She went to another school, I stayed at the same one… but there was that thing called Internet that would never let us loose contact.
We kept talking and realised we really had the same interests. Specially the same taste in music! MUSIC, it was what joined us and made our friendship so solid like it is today.
We went to lots of gigs together. Gigs, movies, our team (FC PORTO) soccer games, family dinners, EVERYTHING. Just like nowadays :)
No matter what, she will be forever in my heart… So, today, at 11am, I was being tattooed at SkinTattoos Studio (Gondomar, Porto - PORTUGAL); I’ve decided to tattoo in my body something that would instantly remind me of her.
I did a black and red nautical star on the side of my left leg (see previous post). As you know, nautical stars were firstly used by sailors. They tattoo them as a good luck symbol in hopes of returning home. Many groups adopt this symbol, specially Punks. They usually tattoo this symbol because it’s a cool old-school design.
So, my nautical star represents this great times that I have with my best friend at Punk (and other) gigs, parties, etc. She has also a nautical star (tattooed on her back), so it’s also a way of connection between me and her. It also represents the way I see her. Through all this years she has been the only one who is ALWAYS here for me. I can even say, if I’m alive, it’s because of her. She never gave up on me and she never let me down. She always give me the support that I need, at the right time. So, she is my nautical star. She always guides me through my path and gives me hope for a better end :)
Now you are ALWAYS with me. FOREVER.
